Assistant Vice President, Human Resources Operations and Services

Southern New Hampshire University is currently seeking an Assistant Vice President, HR Operations and Services. The Assistant Vice President, HR Operations and Services, is a strategic leader with responsibility for leading HR Operational Services, HRIS and Data Analytics for a global, mission driven organization. This position reports to the Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer and is a member of the HR Lead Team that is charged with developing, leading and executing upon the people component of the university s strategic plan. The AVP, HR Operations and Services enables operating excellence, creates exceptional employee and candidate experiences, creates efficient and effective workflows and processes, ensures compliance, delivers meaningful metrics and insights, and continuously challenges the status quo.

Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:

  • Establish best practices for procedures, policies and standards that focus on employee service, efficiency and compliance
  • Oversee HR operations, personnel action processing and compliance
  • Lead the HRIS team to ensure effective system planning, configuration, testing and implementation
  • Monitor programs, systems and procedures for effective internal controls, compliance, efficiency and effectiveness
  • Partner with subject matter experts and business partners to ensure goal and priority alignment
  • Lead operational projects from requirement development to successful execution
  • Oversee the assimilation and distribution of human capital metrics, reporting, and analytics
  • Engage end users to understand system issues and create systems innovations and enhancements
  • Establish a best in class HR Service Center to support employee inquiries
  • Analyze service statistics to enhance the employee experience and maximize efficiency and productivity
  • Partner with all HR functions to create solutions and enhancements
  • Act as a change leader continuously seeking improvement and enhancements to the employee and manager experience and talent management systems
  • Lead, manage, develop, coach, and inspire a team of HR professionals to achieve short and long term goals

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in related field required, Masters preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of human resources leadership experience in a large organization
  • Successful experience as an influential and collaborative leader
  • HRIS system management experience required, Workday experience desirable
  • Outstanding depth and breadth of the human resources profession including an understanding of employee relations, benefits administration, compensation plan design, talent acquisition, compliance, employment law (FLSA, ADA, FMLA, ACA etc ) and HR shared services
  • Ability to integrate external and internal business drivers and financial measures to drive talent related and organizational effectiveness related outcomes
  • Strong expertise in developing solutions based on interdependent collaboration and comprehensive analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully partnering with multiple stakeholder groups and build consensus in a large, rapidly growing organization
  • Demonstrated experience in system implementations, transformation and innovation
  • Excellent leadership, communication and collaboration skills with the exceptional ability to manage strategic big-picture issues as well as the day-day operations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large scale change and projects
  • Strong analytical skills and the keen ability to see solutions to problems

Work Hours:

Typically Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with flexibility to meet business demands as needed.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
