Messaging Systems Administrator

Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) is seeking a Messaging Systems Administrator II with a focus on large scale Microsoft Messaging environments (Exchange & O365). The successful candidate will have experience with O365\Exchange, Active Directory, Mail routing, mail security (anti-SPAM, anti-virus) and PowerShell scripting. The Messaging Systems Administrator II solves business problems using technology models by analyzing, recommending, implementing and supporting solutions.

Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:

  • Support O365 and Exchange environments including anti-spam, anti-phishing, & DLP
  • Support the migration of premise Exchange environments to O365
  • Manage and monitor messaging environments
  • Manage, implement, and maintain Microsoft Active Directory and associated services, including but not limited to DNS, DHCP
  • Collaborate with the all University constituents in a solutions and support role
  • Manage, implement and maintain servers and SAN environments
  • Monitor server equipment, traffic, and server performance
  • Support case management escalations as needed
  • Support of Change and Problem Management processes
  • Develop and maintain documentation of environments
  • Research new software and hardware solutions
  • Define benefits of technology offerings
  • Develop collaborative relationships with peers and management levels
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge
  • Manage vendor relations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in a related field and 4-7 years of related experience
  • Experience with large scale O365 \ Exchange environments
  • Experience with PowerShell
  • Knowledge of VMware
  • Experience administering Windows Operating systems
  • Experience with Server operations hardware environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft\VMware certifications
  • Experience managing vendors

Work Hours:

Typically Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with flexibility to meet business demands as needed.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
