Software Developer II

Southern New Hampshire University is currently seeking a Software Developer II for our Department of Information Technology Solutions (ITS). The Software Developer I is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, troubleshooting and documenting solutions to business needs throughout the entire phase of the development cycle.

Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:

  • Uses tools such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, SSMS to design and develop solutions based on business requirements documents
  • Leads development effort on product or product feature
  • Provides accurate estimates on project tasks
  • Research and provide technical solution for complex design challenges
  • Applies best practices and standards in all solutions
  • Ownership or co-ownership of products, can identify opportunities for improvements and bugs
  • Leads peer and code reviews

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience writing Object Oriented code using C#/JAVA
  • Experience building custom solutions using ASP. NET/MVC
  • Experience with JavaScript/JQuery
  • Experience with Source Control systems such as Team Foundation Server
  • Experience with RESTful web services
  • Proficiency writing queries, stored procedures for SQL Server
  • Experience in the entire software development lifecycle
  • 5-10 years of related experience

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related experience
  • MuleSoft Certification

Work Hours:

Typically Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with flexibility to meet business demands as needed.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
